Welcome To The New QuawQuaw.com

So here it is. Ultimately, it didn't wind up being what I thought it was going to be, it's just another boring blog. I had grand visions of making a web zine with artist interviews and music and reviews and guest posts, but that wound up going by the wayside. I realized that I'm way too lazy to keep that up to date. It was hard enough to do with the old QuawQuaw - and that was totally meaningless.
So I'm using this now as a place to hopefully show someone a new band every once in a while, talk about food I ate, have eaten or will eat, beer I like, and the most important thing, baking.
I figured what a better way to keep this up to date than chronicling my venture into baking. I've never baked a goddamn thing before, but I love baked goods and always have, who doesn't? My mom and grandmother were always baking growing up, and they were really really good at it. Since I was a kid, I've always wanted to be a Jew and own a bakery, I have no idea why, but I know that those were two of my biggest aspirations. Astronaut? Cowboy? Fuck Dat. I wanted to be a Jew baker. I suppose I got lazy at some point, because I wound up being a Web Designer, and I totally forgot about it, much like how a child forgets that he/she ever wanted to be a doctor or an astronaut.
I'll never be a Jew, and I might never own a bakery, and no one will even give a shit if I post a picture of a lumpy loaf of bread and say "Tasted like shit" - but it'll give you something to do for 5 minutes at work, it'll give me a way to track my progress, so I figure it's win-win. At least along the way you might go "Shawn listens to really shitty music, eats shitty food, and drinks shitty beer." Or maybe you'll say "Shawn eats shitty food and drinks shitty beer, makes shitty bread, but Sick Of It All's not so bad."
I guess we'll find out.
I like where this is going sir. I like it a lot.

Thanks, I still have quite a bit to do, but it’s for sure getting there. Stoked!

It’s about fucking time. I hope you start creating your own magical baked good recipes on here so that I can take them and try and make them myself. do it.

I like Jews. I like bread. But I hate bread made by Jews. Call me a Nazi Jew Bread Making Hater, but I just always thought that Jews were better at counting money and foreclosing on people’s houses than they were at baking.
